Arne Slot has got some tough decisions to make ahead of Liverpool’s game against Manchester United on Sunday.
The Premier League clash will be the third time that the Dutchman has faced the Red Devils as the Liverpool boss, and he’ll no doubt be looking to extend his unbeaten run to three.
Chris Sutton has backed Manchester United to beat Liverpool 2-1 on Sunday, whereas Theo Walcott thinks Liverpool will blow their rivals out of the water with a 2-0 win.
Neither team are in the best run of form at the moment, so it’s genuinely unknown which way the game will pan out.

However, if Slot chooses to start Joe Gomez over Ibrahima Konate, he’ll be giving the Anfield outfit a much better chance of beating Ruben Amorim’s men.
Joe Gomez could help solve Liverpool’s leaky defence against Manchester United
Although Gomez hasn’t started a game for Liverpool this season, it’s clear that he’s still going to be relied upon when it matters most.
AC Milan were interested in signing Gomez during the summer, but due to his versatility, Slot chose to keep the £3.5 million man around for another season.
Some rumours have surfaced that AC Milan want to try and sign the Englishman in January, but, especially now that Giovanni Leoni is ruled out for the season, that feels highly unlikely.
Usually, Konate is the one who starts next to Virgil van Dijk, but since his recent run of form has been so poor, it feels like he’s a mistake waiting to happen.
Gomez is also much faster than the Frenchman, so if Jeremie Frimpong or Conor Bradley end up pushing forward and leaving a gap on the right-hand side of the pitch, the Englishman will be able to plug the hole.
Liverpool need to get back to the top of the Premier League table
Since they’ve lost their last two Premier League games, Liverpool have now dropped to second place in the top-flight table.
Arsenal are leading the way now, with one point separating Slot’s men from the Gunners.
October’s international break will have hopefully given the Merseyside outfit a chance to refresh and revitalise themselves with players such as Mohamed Salah and Dominik Szoboszlai starring for their countries.

If they can convincingly beat Man United on Sunday with perhaps Alexander Isak or Florian Wirtz getting involved with the goals, it would be a real statement of intent from the Anfield outfit.
It would show that they’re here to fight until the end and that, even if they do get into a bit of a slump, they’ll eventually manage to find their way out of it.
