Liverpool will wear a special home strip for their game against Manchester United this weekend.
The Reds’ new Adidas kits have been especially popular this season, with supporters delighted to see a return of the German sportswear giant after 13 years away.
With Sunday’s game coming at Anfield, Liverpool are due to wear their traditional home colours, with United forced into a change strip.
However, there will be a little twist this time around; Liverpool will not be donning their usual Standard Chartered sponsor.
Once every year, the Reds partner with the finance company to promote a particular initiative on the front of their shirts. Most recently, that initiative has been ‘Futuremakers’ a programME designed to ’empower underserved young people around the world.’
But after six seasons, Liverpool have confirmed that they will have a new, one-off sponsor for Sunday’s enormous Premier League fixture.

‘Futuremakers’ often proved a good-luck charm for Liverpool. The Reds have usually worn the shirt in the biggest of matches at Anfield, and have come out the other end with a win more often than not.
They will be hoping that Standard Chartered’s latest initiative will have similar success for them on Sunday.

As revealed on the official Liverpool X account on Tuesday, the Reds will be promoting the ‘Play On’ programme on the front of their shirts against United.
The initiative is aimed at helping young girls to stay in sport and ‘play on’ to reach their full potential.
Mohamed Salah is used in Liverpool’s promotion for the game, with the Egyptian smiling broadly at the camera ahead of facing his favourite opposition.
As with Liverpool’s ‘Futuremakers’ shirt against Chelsea last year – and in previous seasons – the match-worn shirts will likely be auctioned off for charity following the game.
