Liverpool have had some incredible penalty takers in their history.
The Reds have been lucky to have some fantastic players grace the pitch at Anfield, and one of the most important duties at the club that could be bestowed upon you is to be entrusted as the primary penalty taker.
Most recently, that honour has fallen to Mohamed Salah, who has had a brilliant record from the spot, only missing eight of his 53 penalties for the club.
His most recent conversion came at a clutch moment for the Reds when he netted the winning goal in a 1-0 victory against Burnley in the Premier League.
Salah may be the club’s current taker, but looking back at their rich history, players such as Steven Gerrard and Jan Molby have also been two of the finest at spot kicks.

This is Anfield asked fans, if there was a moment for any player from Liverpool’s history to take a high-stakes title-winning penalty, which is a difficult choice given the names on offer.
As mentioned, Salah has had a brilliant recent record, and other important names would be trustworthy from that position, but fans know two of the best to take one.
Molby was the overwhelming favourite as James Milner ran a close second among fans to take a penalty to win any kind of title, and there is a reason why.
For Jurgen Klopp, Milner was dependable in that position and netted 19 in his career on Merseyside, and this fan is convinced that he would be the one to take a high-stakes pen.
They wrote: “Genuinely, gut instinct says Milner. Liverpool were blessed to have him play for them. What a footballer. Up there with one of the best careers there’s ever been; not just for trophy haul, but for teams played for, impact on the team, and professionalism. The role model.”
While he features in many of the answers, the overwhelming favourite is the one and only Molby.
The Danish player featured in the majority of answers with passionate endorsements from fans.
One wrote: “Molby. All other answers are incorrect.”
“Anyone who doesn’t pick Jan Molby is wrong, and they should be shunned so they can sit alone in their wrongness,” another agreed.
Three fans were also in agreement with their rankings, having the England midfielder Milner as a close second.
This fan posted: “It’s Jan Molby every single day of the year by a country mile. But after that it’s Millie.”
“Milner or Molby. Easy with either,” a second agreed.
One post read: “The top 3 would be Molby, Milner, Gerrard.”
A final fan agreeing with the Molby pick also mentioned the name of a legend of the club.
“Big Jan, but Phil Neal’s record from the spot was just as good,” they wrote.

You could not go wrong with any of the names mentioned in the post but the two favourites are head and shoulders above the rest.
However, if you had to pick one of these two men to do it in their primes, the numbers say the Danish international is the best choice.
Molby had a 93.33% success rate, scoring 42 of his 45 penalties in his career, compared to Milner, who had a 90.48% success rate, missing two of his 21 for the club.
While the 39-year-old may be one of the best modern takers of penalties for Liverpool, Molby was one of the best from the past.
