Arne Slot will want to retain the Premier League title this season.
Last term, the Dutchman exceeded expectations after Liverpool managed to run away with the title.
This season, a lot of Slot’s focus will likely be put towards the Champions League after they were knocked out in the round of 16.
However, that doesn’t mean that the former Feyenoord boss will allow his team to slack in the Premier League.
They’ve only lost one of their six opening games thus far, and despite being defeated last time out, they’re still sitting at the top of the table.

And, even though Liverpool are in a good position, that doesn’t mean that other teams, such as Arsenal, don’t have a chance of beating them to the top spot.
Piers Morgan thinks Liverpool are overrated and that Arsenal will win the Premier League
Liverpool and Arsenal are the two Premier League teams that spent the most money on improving their ranks during the summer transfer window.
With this in mind, it’s hardly a surprise to see that both clubs are among the favourites to win the Premier League.
And, while speaking live on talkSPORT, Piers Morgan gave his thoughts on Arsenal’s chances of finally winning the Premier League this season.
“100 per cent, I’ve seen enough, Arsenal will win the Premier League,” Morgan said.
“Liverpool are overrated, they’ve been very lucky so far this season, and by the way, look at the games we’ve had to play so far in the Premier League.
“Arsenal have had by far the toughest start to the league, and look where we are, sitting just off the top. You watch the next three months.
“Arsenal, I suspect, will now go on an absolute tear, big games out of the way, we are going to win the league, I wouldn’t be surprised if we win it by mid-March.”
Liverpool need to learn from their Crystal Palace defeat and get back to their best
This season, a lot of Liverpool’s wins have come due to pure luck.
At the start of the season, Slot’s men were leaving, winning their games until the very last minute.
Even though the Anfield outfit ended up adding plenty of points to their name, the fact that they couldn’t seem to win games until the dying embers of the clash was a cause for concern.
Since then, things have started to pick up a bit, but they did get a taste of their own medicine when facing the Eagles, as Eddie Nketiah scored with one of the last touches in the clash.

Although things have worked out thus far, there’s bound to be a point of no return when things just don’t get any better for the club.
For now, though, the main thing for Slot to focus on is to ensure all his players stay fit and that they put in the best performance possible against Galatasaray to add another three points to their Champions League tally on Tuesday evening.
