The possibility of Alexander Isak joining Liverpool this summer is getting everyone associated with the club excited.
The Reds might be Premier League champions but they are certainly not resting on their laurels, with a striker their next top target before the new season begins.
Isak is their ‘dream’ target and has been for quite some time, with the Swede widely regarded as one of the division’s, and maybe even the world’s, best strikers.
Newcastle’s players are expecting Isak to join Liverpool and the player definitely appears keen after handing in a transfer request, although fans are trying very hard not to get too carried away.
Robbie Fowler was finding it hard to contain his excitement, however, and he has had his say about how he feels about the situation.

Robbie Fowler is hopeful that Alexander Isak will sign for Liverpool
Fowler is certainly one of Liverpool’s best-ever strikers and there is a reason that his nickname among the fanbase is ‘God’.
After banging in the goals for the Reds year after year, he still has a lot to do with the club and is, of course, still a huge fan himself.
He also knows better than most about what it takes to succeed as a number nine at Liverpool, and he told Redmen TV 2 that he is hopeful that Isak will be a Red very soon.
“As a Liverpool fan, we would all love to see him, wouldn’t we? When you look at the Premier League and the goals he scored last year, the types of goals and his performances, he was phenomenal,” Fowler said.
“Hopefully he can carry that on and hopefully it will be at Liverpool. If you were to pick one player from the Premier League last year who you would have wanted to sign for Liverpool, he would probably be on 90% of people’s lips.
“We probably needed that pivotal striker on the pitch last season and he could be the difference if he was to come.”
Liverpool have a good chance of signing Alexander Isak this summer
Not only has this story gained significant traction in the last week or so and got fans excited, but there appears to be a genuine possibility that it does eventually happen.
Liverpool have no competition for Isak’s signature according to Fabrizio Romano as the player himself has rejected any approaches from Saudi Arabia.
The Swede wants to compete for the biggest trophies and has given his priority to the Reds, with the club able to take a little bit of time before making their move.
Liverpool will likely aim to sell Luis Diaz first, and maybe even Darwin Nunez too, before submitting a bid, but if Newcastle do finally allow him to go, it seems highly likely that he will be playing his football at Anfield next season.
