Liverpool have looked to the market for a new centre-forward this summer as they try and address the hole left by Roberto Firmino.
Firmino left in 2023, but although Darwin Nunez has done his best to take on the mantle of the Brazilian, it has not quite worked out.
New signing Hugo Ekitike has similarities to Firmino, however, and there will be hope at Liverpool that the Frenchman can deliver on a similar scale to his predecessor.
In the meantime, Firmino continues to capture the imagination of the Liverpool fanbase.
Few have brought such flair, joy and quality to the central striker position at Anfield, and his legacy with the Reds will live long into the future.
But as his Liverpool career fades further into the distance, Firmino has finally put the finishing touches on his second move since leaving two years ago.

Fabinho reacts to Roberto Firmino transfer
Firmino has had a mixed time since leaving Liverpool. Having failed to really get going at Saudi side Al Ahli, the Brazil international was bombed out of the registered squad.
However, Firmino could still play in continental competition, and he duly led the Riyadh based team to their first ever AFC Champions League in May.
From there, it had been reported that Firmino was closing in on a move to Qatar, and Al Sadd announced him as a new signing on Wednesday.
They did so with a video unveiling on their Instagram page, to which Firmino’s former Liverpool teammate, and good friend Fabinho, reacted.

“Bobby!!!! God bless you my brother!” wrote the Al Ittihad player, along with a couple of bicep curls and a love heart.
Former Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian also gave his reaction, replying to one of several announcement posts put out by Al Sadd.
“Congratulations brother. Continue to enjoy, all the best!” he said.
Who else plays for Al Sadd?
Firmino left a star-studded side at Al Ahli to join a team with a little less big name attraction in Al Sadd.
There are one or two familiar faces, though, with former Wolves midfielder Romain Saiss perhaps the most notable.
Some fans may also recognise Mohamed Camara, once of RB Salzburg, while there are three more Brazilians within manager Felix Sanchez’s squad.
Claudinho is perhaps the biggest of these, having spent four years with Zenit St Petersburg in Russia.
Paulo Otavio and Giovani complete the Brazilian quartet, with Firmino adding plenty of experience into the mix.
