Liverpool have dominated the transfer headlines over the last few weeks, with the Reds spending close to £200million on new arrivals.
The Anfield outfit were already one of the most dominant forces in the Premier League, but now with the likes of Florian Wirtz arriving, they’re going to be even harder to beat.
However, since Liverpool have spent all this money, they need to figure out how to earn some of it back so they can continue upgrading their ranks.

Several players have been linked with an Anfield exit over the last few weeks, but now, it seems like their stance has been shared on one of their key men.
Liverpool want Ibrahima Konate to follow in the footsteps of Mohamed Salah
One of the main things to have dominated Liverpool’s headlines over the last couple of weeks is the future of Ibrahima Konate.
The Frenchman only has a year left on his current deal with the Anfield outfit, with two extension offers getting rejected already.
This has sparked rumours about Konate’s future with the centre-back now reportedly looking to make a move to Real Madrid.
However, as per a report from Spanish outlet AS, Liverpool believe they need to be ‘brave’ and will try to convince him to stay during the season.
The report goes on to say that this is a ‘formula’ that ‘worked well’ with Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah in the 2024-25 campaign, as both chose to extend their stays.
AS also add that sometimes people can be ‘convinced’ to change their minds, but it would be a ‘massive risk’ for Liverpool, especially if they can earn some money from his sale this season.

Liverpool must try and extend the contract of Ibrahima Konate
At the moment, it’s unclear what Konate is going to do with his future.
If Liverpool do choose to sell the defender this summer, they’d be looking for a fee worth around €50million (£43million), which is still far less than what he’d be worth if he had two or three years left on his deal.
However, since Jarell Quansah has now moved to Bayer Leverkusen, Arne Slot only has three natural centre-backs among his ranks, which is far from ideal.
Of course, only time will tell what the future has in store, but even with the likes of Marc Guehi being linked with a Liverpool switch, it feels like players need to be added to the Reds’ defensive ranks, rather than taken away.
