Liverpool have already made a couple of changes to their ranks despite the summer transfer window not being fully open yet.
At the moment, there’s a special 10-day transfer window open to allow clubs competing in the Club World Cup, as well as others, to add new faces to their ranks so that they can bolster their chances of winning the trophy.
Trent Alexander-Arnold has already made his move to Real Madrid, with the La Liga outfit paying a hefty fee to acquire his services early.
Jeremie Frimpong is the man who has been chosen to replace him, and while he won’t be able to prove his worth for another few months, Liverpool seem to have got themselves a solid deal on the Dutchman.

And, with Liverpool wanting to retain the Premier League title next term, it’s not a surprise to see numerous player changes already being rumoured.
Jamie Carragher doesn’t think Kostas Tsimikas will be at Liverpool next season
One area that needs improving within the Liverpool squad is their left-back.
Indeed, Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas have proven their worth once in a while this term, but all in all, it has been one of the weakest areas in Arne Slot’s team.
And, with the transfer of Milos Kerkez entering its final stages, change is already afoot.
Speaking on The Overlap Podcast, Jamie Carragher gave his thoughts on what the Reds’ plans for Tsimikas should entail.
“Arne Slot is thinking we need to get in the players that are going to play [and be in the starting XI],” he said.
“I think the left-back plays who’s coming in. Frimpong will fight with Conor Bradley [at right-back] and have a good chance of playing.
“We need a left-back. Robertson needs help on that side, and Tsimikas will probably be moved on.”
Kostas Tsimikas has been a solid player for Liverpool
Although Tsimikas has been Robertson’s back-up since his arrival, when called upon, the Greek scouser has more often than not performed admirably.
In fact, Tsimikas was loved by Jurgen Klopp due to his readiness to perform when given the opportunity.

The 2024-25 season is one where the Greek international has been given more of a chance in the first team than most likely expected.
And, due to his performances during these outings, interest from Juventus and Atletico Madrid has emerged, which the left-back would be silly to turn down, especially if he is dropped to third choice next term.
Indeed, his bubbly personality and his reliability will be sorely missed by everyone involved at Liverpool, but with Kerkez likely to come in, it doesn’t make sense for the 29-year-old to spend his prime years on the Reds’ bench.
At the end of the day, only time will tell what the future holds, but at the moment, Tsimikas’ future seems sealed.
