Liverpool supporters were still in party mode on Sunday despite watching their team lose 3-1 against Chelsea.
Reds fans have been celebrating extensively ever since their team were crowned Premier League champions on April 27th.
With the league title already wrapped up, Liverpool’s remaining fixtures of the season mean absolutely nothing. The Reds could travel to Stamford Bridge knowing the result had no consequence at all.
And although Liverpool were not at their best against Chelsea, supporters clearly were not bothered one bit.
Liverpool fans were spotted celebrating as Cole Palmer scored to put the Blues 3-1 ahead, with those in attendance keen to ram home the fact that they are champions of England for at least the next year.
Songs were sung and dances were danced. The usual favourites from the Kop songbook were all brought out. And in amongst the party atmosphere a new chant for Federico Chiesa was heard at Stamford Bridge.

Federico Chiesa chant gets fans approval
Chiesa was given the final eight minutes against Chelsea to ensure he will qualify for a Premier League winners medal at the end of the campaign.
Despite making only five league appearances this term, the Italian has become a firm favourite with supporters. So, when footage emerged of Liverpool fans chanting a new song in his honour on the Stamford Bridge concourse, it was not a surprise to see approval given from Reds online.
“We need Chiesa to stay and be a success…… cos that song of his is an absolute BELTER!!” one supporter wrote on X.
“Give him whatever he wants just so we can keep singing this,” someone else said. “Chiesa needs to be successful just for this song. Quality,” added another.
“Slot needs to play Chiesa next season as this is far too good to waste on a player who’s being sold or only playing now and again.” was one fan’s verdict, while others joked at Chiesa being given a song after barely playing for the Reds.
“Federico Chiesa has more songs than Premier League starts this season…what a belter.” said one. “Love the fact that Chiesa has more words to his song than appearances,” another agreed.
“Best fans in the world. We’ve got a song for Chiesa. Lad’s played 12 mins all year,” someone else chuckled.
“Possibly the best song we’ve ever had, and last game of the season it has to go off,” was one fan’s verdict, while another questioned why Chiesa had been given a song ahead of the likes of Cody Gakpo.
“How does Chiesa have a song when Cody doesn’t?!” they decried.
What are the lyrics to the Federico Chiesa song?
Liverpool supporters have been desperate to see Chiesa’s move from Juventus work out this season.
But having made only 13 appearances all season – many of them as late cameos from the bench – Chiesa looks likely to leave this summer.
Nevertheless, the Italian has seemingly enjoyed his time at Anfield and if he is to go will exit as a Premier League winner and with an incredibly catchy chant to his name.
“I can hear them crying in Turin, Federico’s here to win” starts the song, to the tune of the classic song ‘Sway.’
“One chat with Arne Slot and he said ‘ciao,’ f— off Juve, I’m a Kopite now.”
Watch out, this one will get stuck in your head all day! Da da da da da da daaa da daaaa.
