The city of Liverpool is waking up with one major hangover on Monday morning after the Reds were crowned as champions of England on Sunday.

It was a magnificent day on Merseyside, with the sun shining and Liverpool blowing Tottenham away.

The celebrations which followed were a pleasure to witness, as fans, players and staff came together to party.

Arne Slot allowed himself to get carried away, and after keeping his cool throughout the season, the Liverpool head coach deserved his moment of letting loose.

But after the party has subsided, you can bet that Slot will be all business again. The Dutchman will no doubt already have one eye on the transfer market and how he can improve the Liverpool squad once more.

One player who has been heavily linked with a move is Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez. And while the party raged in Liverpool, Kerkez posted his reaction to the Reds’ title win.

Kerkez has been touted as the most likely addition for Liverpool at left-back this summer. He has a reported £50m asking price, but the Reds are seemingly determined to get him.

If he does make the move to Anfield, Kerkez will link up with Hungary teammate Dominik Szoboszlai.

And after Szoboszlai became the first ever Hungarian to win the Premier League on Sunday, his younger countryman posted a message of congratulations on X.

“You deserve it my friend, love,” wrote the 21-year-old, sharing a photo of the two hugging while playing for Hungary, with an applause and a heart emoji.

Szoboszlai soon replied, simply posting a prayer and a heart emoji in return.

Below the Liverpool midfielder were plenty of Reds supporters urging Kerkez to come and join his friend at Anfield next season.

Is Kerkez to Liverpool inevitable?

As the season enters its final four games, the transfer window is likely to dominate conversation.

With Liverpool now no longer playing for anything, that is likely to be the case at Anfield more than anywhere else in the division.

That can be a good thing for the Reds, as they aim to get a head start on what looks like being a busy summer.

A left-back will almost certainly be arriving as part of that, but whether that will be Kerkez is still unclear.

Rousing The Kop understands that the Hungary international is not a certainty to join just yet, with Liverpool still pondering a move for Antonee Robinson as well.
