Without any games for the past two weeks, transfer talk has dominated the March international break for Liverpool.
Unfortunately, much of the focus has been on what and who the Reds could lose during the upcoming summer window.
But as Liverpool fans face the reality that Trent Alexander-Arnold is set to leave for Real Madrid, there is also plenty to be excited about in terms of incomings.
With so much change expected within the Liverpool squad, there is likely to be a big signing or two at Anfield.
The biggest of those could be Newcastle striker Alexander Isak, who continues to be heavily linked with being the man to solve Arne Slotβs number nine issue for the Reds.
And as Liverpool position themselves for a run at Isak, football industry insiders have been assessing their chances of landing Newcastleβs main man.

Liverpool confident of Alexander Isak success
Isak has been one of the best players in the Premier League this season and would be a clear upgrade on Slotβs options at Liverpool.
To many supporters, the Sweden international has taken on the status of being something of a βmissing pieceβ for the Reds.
However, Newcastle clearly have no intention of losing Isak, and according to Give Me Sport the Geordies have put a valuation of at least Β£120m on the 25-year-old.
Surprisingly, though, this has reportedly not deterred Liverpool for the moment. It is claimed that the Reds have even βraised eyebrowsβ within the football industry at their apparant confidence that a deal can be done.

These insiders are also said to be speculating that βprivate discussionsβ at Anfield may have led to a belief that Isak is more get-able than first thought.
As a result, Liverpool move is claimed to be βgaining tractionβ and should not simply be dismissed as speculation or wishful thinking. It seems that the deal is very much on.
Liverpool have Alexander Isak alternative
Isak may be the dream target for Liverpool this summer, but itβs worth pointing out that it is nowhere near being a certainty.
| Apperances | Goals | Assists | |
| Alexander Isak | 100 | 58 | 9 |
| Benjamin Sesko | 119 | 53 | 11 |
If Newcastle secure qualification for next seasonβs Champions League, they would be in a very strong position to keep the Swede.
In that case, although Liverpool fans may be disappointed, there are certainly other options they could look at in the market.
One of them is RB Leipzigβs Benjamin Sesko, who is mentioned by Give Me Sport as a viable alternative to Isak.
The Reds are claimed to have taken a βserious lookβ at Sesko as they prepare for a big summer window.
