Liverpool made waves last summer with the signing of Giorgi Mamardashvili, who as it stands is set to return to Anfield later this year.

The Georgia international was signed by the Reds after a breakout year with Valencia followed by an impressive showing at Euro 2024, with Mamardashvili now rightfully regarded as one of the best young goalkeepers in Europe.

As a result, loaning out Mamardashvili for a second season could be the smartest idea for Liverpool, with the Georgia international at an awkward stage where he’s too good to be sat on the bench for the Reds yet not good enough yet to start on a weekly basis.
