PSG warmed up for Wednesday’s meeting with Liverpool by delivering a crushing 4-1 win over Lille on Saturday.

Luis Enrique’s side have been in blistering form over recent months, with Saturday’s win their 10th in succession.

Enrique compared Lille with Liverpool ahead of the match, but the Reds will be hoping they can hold out for longer than Les Dogues ultimately did.

PSG were 4-0 up within 37 minutes. Goals from Bradley Barcola, Marquinhos, Ousmane Dembele and Desire Doue showcased the attacking talents the Parisians possess.

Dembele in particular has been having a standout campaign. The Frenchman is finally realising his potential under Enrique.

And after adding his 26th goal of the season against Lille, Dembele looked ahead to the Champions League clash with Liverpool.

Ousmane Dembele looking forward to Liverpool clash

Dembele almost signed for Liverpool when leaving Rennes for Borussia Dortmund in 2016. The 27-year-old has been linked with the Reds plenty of times since, too.

For much of the past six or seven years, Dembele has simply failed to live up to his enormous potential.

But free from the shadow of Kylian Mbappe, the World Cup winner is certainly doing that this season.

Liverpool will have to keep close tabs on Dembele this Wednesday, but in quotes via RMC Sport, the forward also suggested that PSG must be wary of the threat posed by the Reds.

“We know it’s going to be a tough match,” he said after Saturday’s convincing win.

“It’s the Champions League. Liverpool finished first, they’re also confident. It’s going to be a great show.”

Dembele warns PSG are ‘having a blast’

Under Enrique PSG have become a goal scoring machine. It is not easy for any team to stop them.

And as well as sounding a respectful message in Liverpool’s favour, Dembele warned Arne Slot’s side exactly what they are facing this midweek.

“We are preparing well for what is to come [Liverpool],” he said. “Since the beginning of the season, [Luis Enrique] has been telling us to play good football. Everyone is participating, whether it’s the midfielders, defenders or attackers. Everyone wants to be decisive.

“We are in a very good dynamic, we will try to keep it as long as possible. We are having a blast!”

“Everyone attacks, everyone defends. We are a very united team, that gives results like that. It’s just fun for 90-95 minutes.”

Liverpool are tasked with ensuring the fun stops on Wednesday.
