Liverpool ended their hoodoo at the Etihad Stadium by romping to a 2-0 win over Manchester City on Sunday.
The Reds knew they could move 11 points clear at the top of the Premier League after seeing West Ham beat Arsenal on Saturday.
In order to do that, however, Liverpool would have to win at the Etihad for the first time since 2015.
In the end, it was all rather straightforward for the Reds. Having put themselves 2-0 up during the first-half, they put their backs to the wall and saw the job through.
The win means things are looking incredibly rosy for Liverpool in the Premier League table.
And as they sat back and soaked in an 11-point lead, the travelling Liverpool fans could be heard clearly chanting something at the home of the champions.

Liverpool supporters make themselves heard
With Arsenal losing and Liverpool navigating their most difficult remaining away fixture, this felt like a significant weekend in the Premier League.
Nothing is done yet, of course, there are still 11 games to play for Liverpool, including a tough one against Newcastle on Wednesday.
But, for plenty of people, Sunday was the day where the title race was ended in earnest.
Many within the Liverpool crowd seemed to believe that to be the case, as they loudly declared that they’re ‘going to win the league.’

“And now you’re gonna believe us, we’re gonna win the league,’ sing the Liverpool fans for the first time this season,” reports journalist Lewis Steele on X.
Liverpool make giant step forwards
Nobody should be planning any parades just yet, but there’s no escaping that this was an enormous day for Liverpool.
With seven of their 11 games to come at Anfield, they have put themselves in a remarkable position to lift the Premier League trophy.
Nevertheless, Arne Slot will be surely ramming home to his players that the job is not over.
Liverpool have a big March coming up as they look to win the Carabao Cup, advance in the Champions League and make further steps towards a league title win.
If those supporters didn’t believe before Sunday, though, then they certainly do now.
