Liverpool reached the Carabao Cup final on Thursday evening after thrashing Tottenham 4-0.
The Reds came from behind against Spurs to record a comfortable victory and book a date at Wembley on March the 16th.
It will be a big day for Arne Slot, who will attempt to win his maiden Liverpool trophy at the first time of asking.
For the Liverpool squad, they have been there and done it before. But that won’t make the trip down to London any less special. It promises to be a great afternoon of football against Newcastle.
While spirits were high at Anfield on Thursday, though, Slot was keen to point out that there is a downside to Liverpool qualifying for the final.
The knock-on effect is that the Reds’ Premier League clash with Aston Villa has been moved forward one month and has now been confirmed as a midweek fixture.

Liverpool book February date with Aston Villa
A journey to Villa Park has once again become one of the toughest tests in the Premier League calendar.
The Midlands club have transformed into a different team under Unai Emery and are a match for anyone on their day.
Originally, Liverpool were supposed to face Villa away on Saturday, March 15th, one day before the Carabao Cup final and as the final fixture before the international break.
Obviously, the Reds will now be busy aiming for silverware that weekend, and as a result, liverpoolfc.com confirmed on Thursday night that the Aston Villa game has been moved.
The two teams will now come face to face on Wednesday, February 19th and will kick-off at 7.30pm.
Ominously, the game comes just four days before Liverpool travel to Manchester City to face the champions at the Etihad Stadium. A big few days await.
Liverpool gear up for crucial February
With a trip to the Etihad already in there, as well as Bournemouth, the Carabao Cup semi-final and the final Merseyside Derby at Goodison Park, February already looked tough for Liverpool.
But things just got a whole lot more difficult. Away games at the Vitality, Goodison, Villa Park and the Etihad make it a slightly crazy month.

Arsenal will no doubt be circling the next couple of weeks as a period where they can really start to close the gap on Liverpool.
On the flipside, though, there is a chance for the Reds to send a real statement with three dominant away displays.
Come through Everton, Villa and City unscathed and Liverpool will surely have one hand on the Premier League trophy. One game at a time, though, Reds.
