Liverpool booked their place in the Carabao Cup final on Thursday with a comfortable win over Tottenham.

The Reds knew they needed to win by at least two goals to overturn the 1-0 defeat they suffered at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in January.

In the end, that was no problem for Liverpool as they romped to a 4-0 win.

Arne Slot signalled the intent from the Reds by naming a strong eleven in an attempt to get his team to Wembley.

The only injury problem for Slot heading into the match was Trent Alexander-Arnold, with the right-back ruled out with an issue picked up last time out at Bournemouth.

In Trent’s absence, Conor Bradley had a golden opportunity to show why he can be the man to replace the Scouser if he does indeed leave this summer. And after delivering a ‘magnificent’ performance against Spurs, Bradley certainly made his mark.

Liverpool fans sing for Conor Bradley

Bradley has had something of a stop-start season this time around. With a couple of niggling injuries here and there, the 21-year-old hasn’t really gotten going.

But the tide turned in that respect on Thursday, as Bradley showed up in a big way at Anfield.

One enormous challenge on Son Heung-Min, one fantastic assist for Dominik Szoboszlai and one all-around superb, all-action performance.

And with Bradley riding high on his display during the second-half, ITV commentator Sam Matterface heard the Liverpool supporters serenading their right-back.

“The Liverpool crowd are sounding their appreciation for Conor Bradley, the Northern Irishman,” Matterface said. “A rendition of his song.”

“There’s only one Conor Bradley!” chanted the supporters.

The Liverpool crowd were not the only ones in awe of Bradley on Thursday, Matterface’s co-commentator Ally McCoist could not quite believe what he was seeing.

“Conor Bradley’s run is nothing short of magnificent,” McCoist said after the 21-year-old had set up Szoboszlai for the third goal of the night.

“He gives Archie Gray all sorts of problems. The timing of the run is sensational.

“Everything is clockwork here. What a run and the first time pass. That is an absolutely beautiful goal. Conor Bradley man, take a bow again.”

All in a night’s work for Liverpool’s roving right-back from County Tyrone.
