Jurgen Klopp ‘looks great’ one year after leaving Liverpool

Speaking on ESPN FC, journalist James Olley noted how ‘great’ Klopp looks since leaving Liverpool, with the former Anfield coach likened to Arsene Wenger in how transformed the German now looks having left Premier League management.

The Arsenal legend, who now works for FIFA, has been noted for looking healthier and more full of life since departing the Emirates Stadium after 22 years with the Gunners, and experts are now starting to notice something similar with Klopp.

Olley said: “When he said: ‘I’m tired, I need a break,’ you sort of think: ‘Yeah, that’s not real,’ but you look at him now, and he looks great, the colour is back in him. It kinda reminds me of exactly what happened to Arsene Wenger when he left Arsenal.

“He was sleeping in the training ground, the situation consumed him, he looked gauntly, he looked pale, he was losing weight, but then I saw him a year later at a private function and he looked incredible, he looked ten years younger and looked like he had the holiday he needed, and it’s the same with Klopp, there was a genuine exhaustion.”

What is Jurgen Klopp currently doing in Brazil with Red Bull?

WIth Klopp now away from football management for the time being, the former Liverpool man has since taken up a job as Red Bull’s head of football, a position that is allowing the German coach to travel the world to help with clubs falling under the RB umbrella.

As a result, Klopp now finds himself in Brazil with Red Bull Bragantino, with the former Borussia Dortmund manager also paying a visit to Palmeiras, with the two sides facing each other this week in Sao Paulo.

Indeed, Klopp seems full of life and refreshed in his new role with Red Bull having left Liverpool in the summer, and supporters of the Reds will be pleased to see the Anfield legend doing as well as he is in his new position.
