Liverpool are running out of time if they are to make a new signing this January.

Supporters have been begging with the Reds on social media to bolster the squad in what is becoming a tight title race.

However, with two weeks remaining in which to do business, there doesn’t appear to be anything stirring at Anfield.

In the meantime, though, Liverpool do feel set to have busy summer window.

Left-back is an area they look destined to make a signing in, with Andy Robertson facing a steep decline this season.

Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez has been strongly rumoured to be high up on the shortlist at Anfield, and journalist Paul Joyce has moved to confirm that chatter.

Paul Joyce confirms Milos Kerkez interest

Kerkez has been having a superb season for Bournemouth. Still only 21-years-old, the Hungarian looks to be a star in the making at Dean Court.

With the big sharks of the Premier League now circling him, it was suggested earlier this week that Kerkez favours a move to Liverpool.

The price-tag being reported is a big one, and some fans may baulk at the prospect of paying £50m for a left-back.

Nevertheless, according to Joyce, Liverpool’s interest is very real.

Either way, the reporter claims that sporting director Richard Hughes will already be working to ‘assess’ a left-back addition.

“The sporting director, Richard Hughes, will already be assessing left back options, primarily as Andrew Robertson will soon turn 31, with Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez among those being considered,” Joyce writes for The Times.

Joyce says Caoimhin Kelleher is looking to leave

As well weighing in on Liverpool’s search for a new left-back, Joyce provides an update on the situation of back-up goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher.

Kelleher has played his fair share of games this season, featuring 14 times as a result of Alisson Becker picking up a hamstring injury.

But, according to Joyce, the Irishman’s departure is still expected to come this summer.

“Caoimhin Kelleher will look to leave, given the arrival of Giorgi Mamardashvili,” says the journalist.

Plenty of change set to come at Anfield this summer, then. Kerkez is certainly one to keep an eye on as the second-half of the season progresses.
