Given the current contract situations at Liverpool, plenty of supporters have been venting their frustration at their owners in recent times.
Not for the first time in their near 15-year reign, FSG have upset fans through a perceived failure to be proactive.
While they have undoubtedly been excellent Liverpool owners on the whole, the American group do have their shortcomings.
One of these, according to a portion of the fanbase, is a lack of willingness to put up enough money in the transfer market and spend big on player contracts.
As resolutions still appear to be far away for Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold, those gripes are justifiable to a point.
However, Liverpool fans should also be a little careful what they wish for. There are plenty of worse owners out there than FSG. One of those could be South African billionaire Elon Musk, who has been rumoured to be interested in taking over at Anfield.

Has Elon Musk made an offer to buy Liverpool?
Musk is an incredibly divisive figure at this point in time. Set to join the Donal Trump administration in the White House, he would be a hugely high-profile owner of any football club.
He also has unbelievably large amounts of money at his disposal, which may be attractive to a certain demographic of supporter.
Interestingly, Musk also has a link to Liverpool, with his grandmother a native of the city.
Nevertheless, in our opinion, those things do not make him suitable to run Liverpool, and according to The Daily Mail, it is not something which FSG are deliberating either.

They confirm that the current Liverpool owners have had no approach from Musk and are reportedly ‘uninterested in a sale’ even if the 53-year-old does make them an offer.
Furthermore, they claim that ‘insiders’ at Anfield have ‘played down’ matters after Musk’s father, Errol, stoked the fires by declaring that his son ‘would like’ to take over the club.
What is Elon Musk’s net worth?
For Liverpool supporters who simply want to see their team be ambitious in terms of new signings, Musk would be something of a dream owner.
According to Forbes, he is currently the richest man in the world having amassed a fortune of over 415 billion dollars.
If he did take over, those fans who want the Reds to make signing after signing would likely be appeased.
However, virtually everything else about Musk would be the antithesis of what it means to be involved in Liverpool FC. If his offer did ever become concrete, there would likely be an enormous backlash from fans.
As a result, we can’t see this one ever getting off the ground. FSG have shown that they will listen to supporters in the past, and if they do on this one, then it’s simply a non-starter, thankfully.
