Liverpool are set to be active in the transfer market in the upcoming windows as Arne Slot aims to fine-tune his squad.
The Dutchman refrained from splashing the cash in the summer – with Federico Chiesa the only player who walked through the door at Anfield – but the upcoming windows are likely to be different.
Slot has now had enough time to evaluate his squad and while the Reds have most bases covered, it’s not to say they have no scope for improvement.
And if reports are to be believed, they could be leading the chase to sign one of the most exciting players in the Premier League who has been likened with Cole Palmer.

Liverpool expected to lead the chase for Tyler Dibling
Liverpool’s attack is their strongest suit, at least on paper, as they have six quality attackers in that position.
However, with Darwin Nunez misfiring and Federico Chiesa struggling to adapt to the rigours of the Premier League, it remains to be seen if they add to their attacking firepower.
Eintracht Frankfurt’s Omar Marmoush has been linked with a move to Liverpool, while it has also been reported that Lyon youngster Rayan Cherki has keen admirers at Anfield.
Southampton’s Tyler Dibling is another young player who has cropped up on the Reds’ radar and has been one of the breakthrough stars in what has otherwise been an underwhelming campaign for the Saints.

With two goals to his name already, the teenager has burst onto the scene and is earning rave reviews for his performances, sparking interest from a host of teams across the country.
A report from Daily Mail states that Liverpool are expected to be at the front of the queue if they firm up their interest in Dibling, although it remains to be seen if they’ll actually do so.
Newcastle United are also interested in signing Dibling in 2025, with the player capable of playing out wide and in midfield.
Dibling likened to Chelsea’s Cole Palmer
Cole Palmer has been one of the most exciting Englishmen on the scene in recent years, with the midfielder taking his game to another level since moving to Chelsea in the summer of 2023.

Dion Dublin feels Dibling has some shades of Palmer in him as he lavishes praise on the Saints youngster’s early-season performances.
He said via BBC in December: “Do you know what it is? I don’t want to put any pressure on him, but he plays his game like Cole Palmer, doesn’t he?
“He plays free and easy, and he gets himself into good positions, rolls players and takes the ball well.”
