Liverpool are likely to strengthen their squad in the upcoming transfer window after a quiet summer under Arne Slot.

Federico Chiesa was the only player who walked through the door at Anfield, although an agreement in principle was reached to sign Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia in 2025.

Slot now has a better idea of his squad and won’t hesitate to make changes if the situation calls for it.

And if reports are to be believed, a Stuttgart midfielder who Wataru Endo knows quite well is being linked with a move to Anfield.

Liverpool keeping tabs on Stuttgart’s Enzo Millot

Endo signed for Liverpool in the summer of 2023 from Stuttgart in what turned out to be one of the most unexpected signings of that window.

The Japanese international was an experienced campaigner, but he was relatively unknown outside the Bundesliga and his home country, due to which the Anfield faithful were a bit skeptical of him.

However, Endo did his reputation no harm with a fantastic first season under Jurgen Klopp. He has fallen down the pecking order under Slot but remains a valuable squad option to play cup competitions and see-off games.

A report from Caught Offside states that Stuttgart midfielder Enzo Millot is now attracting interest from Liverpool due to his impressive displays for Sebastian Hoeness’ side.

The 22-year-old can play anywhere in the centre of the park and is also capable of playing out wide, making him an interesting player to keep an eye out for.

Millot and Endo played together for one season before the Japanese international moved to Anfield and it now appears as if they could well reunite if the stars align.

The report also states that Arsenal and Tottenham are also keeping tabs on the midfielder, who won’t be short of suitors if he decides to move on.

Millot described as an ‘unbelievable’ player

Hoeness has been a big hit at Stuttgart and his work on the touchline has seen him bring the best out of Milot, who he described as an unbelievable player who sometimes goes under the radar.

He said (via Bundesliga) after Sturrgart’s 5-1 win against Dortmund in September: “The boy is blessed with exceptional qualities, really unbelievable.

“He often flies a little under the radar, but against Dortmund, he deserved to be on the big stage. That was outstanding, a different level. He set a standard that he is welcome to repeat.”
