Nobody can match the start Liverpool have made in the Champions League this season.
The Reds have been blistering in Europe, beating everyone in their path to sit top of the revamped League Phase table.
Liverpool only need a point out of the final two matches to secure a top eight finish, which would see them advance into the last-16.
Having won all six of their games so far, Reds fans haven’t had to worry about what is going on in the rest of the competition.
But those who have been paying attention should be getting excited by Anis Hadj Moussa, who has been one of the standout players in this year’s Champions League.
Excelling for Arne Slot’s old side Feyenoord, Moussa could well find himself at Anfield next season.

Liverpool fans should track Anis Hadj Moussa
Having arrived at Feyenoord over the summer, Moussa never did play for Slot.
However, according to Algerian outlet La Gazette du Fennec, the Liverpool head coach was key to the 22-year-old joining Feyenoord.
Having since moved on, they claim that Slot has now added Moussa to his list of targets at Liverpool.
And after watching the Algeria international hit another Champions League goal on Wednesday it is easy to see why.

Moussa scored a Mohamed Salah-esque type finish against Sparta Prague, cutting in onto his left foot and bending a sumptuous finish into the far corner.
The goal was Moussa’s third in five Champions League appearances this campaign, including one against Manchester City. He also has six in his last seven games for Feyenoord in all competitions. Liverpool supporters’ interest should be piqued.
Who is Anis Hadj Moussa?
Moussa has very much picked up where Yankuba Minteh left off for Slot at Feyenoord.
The former Lens academy product is a skilful, quick, left-footed winger who could be exactly what Liverpool are looking for in a post-Salah world.
Moussa is still only 22, and caution must be exercised given that it is his first season at a club competing in European competition.
| Appearances | Minutes | Goals | Goals per 90 mins | xG | |
| Champions League | 5 | 255 | 3 | 1.05 | 0.46 |
| Eredivisie | 11 | 526 | 3 | 0.51 | 1.21 |
Nevertheless, as seen with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in 2022, a star can sometimes be born overnight in the Champions League and Moussa could be another in that respect.
Manager Brian Priske called Moussa ‘exceptional‘ after his goal against City and he certainly has something a little bit special.
With three goals in just four Eredivisie starts this season and now three more on Europe’s grandest stage, Moussa looks like a player to get excited about.
