Jamie Gittens has been one of the breakout stars in Europe this season, with Liverpool one of the many clubs interested in signing the Borussia Dortmund winger.
A former Manchester City academy talent, the England youth international has been in sensational form for the German giants this campaign, with Gittens scoring eight goals and registering four assists in all competitions for Dortmund.
With Liverpool interested in signing Gittens, Dortmund have placed a €100m (£83m) asking price on the 20-year-old attacker heading into the January transfer window, with the Bundesliga side eager to keep hold of their new superstar youngster.
And Anfield icon Dietmar Hamann has now given his verdict on which team should sign Gittens between Bayern Munich or Liverpool.

Hamann backs Bayern to make a move for Liverpool target Gittens
Speaking on Sky90, the pundit highlighted how Bayern could do with a winger like Gittens after the Dortmund winger impressed greatly against the Bundesliga giants on Saturday in Der Klassiker, with the forward opening the scoring.
With a number of top European teams interested in signing Gittens, it wouldn’t be a surprise to many Liverpool fans if Bayern were also in the race for the 20-year-old attacker, especially with the German side’s history of signing top prospects from Dortmund.
And for Hamann, Gittens to Bayern would make quite a lot of sense, though the former Liverpool man is aware that English clubs are keen to bring the winger back to his home country after such an impressive year with Dortmund.
Hamann said: “I would consider getting Gittens [for Bayern], who is in form and can make the difference. What the boy is showing at the moment, the English [clubs] would welcome a player like him with open arms.”

Do Liverpool even need to sign Gittens next summer?
Liverpool will potentially be in the market for a new winger should Mohamed Salah leave Anfield at the end of this season, with the forward’s contract situation yet to come to any sort of conclusion.
Yet even if Salah were to depart Merseyside, Gittens could be a poor signing for Liverpool as a replacement for the Egyptian international, with the Dortmund man not even a right-sided attacker having played all of his football this season on the left.
Moreover, for what Dortmund are demanding for Gittens, Liverpool could find a more suitable and cheaper signing in the summer transfer window than the England youth international, who could start a bidding war without the Reds’ involvement in 2025.
