Liverpool secured another huge win in the Premier League after beating Manchester City 2-0 at Anfield.

Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah were the goalscorers on the night for the Reds with Liverpool making Pep Guardiola’s side look ordinary, with City extending their winless run to seven games in all competitions.

With Liverpool now 11 points clear of City and nine points ahead of second-place Arsenal, the Premier League title is quickly become Arne Slot’s to lose, with the Anfield side looking unbeatable in this current form.

And Salah has made an interesting few comments on his future with Liverpool.

Salah says Anfield ‘feels like home’ after Liverpool win

Speaking to the Premier League’s official website, the £34m attacker shared how much he enjoys playing at Anfield in front of the Liverpool fans, with Salah forming a connection with supporters that few players have in the red half of Merseyside.

Salah said: “The fans were behind us from the first minute. I’m glad we managed to win the game, we know that City are going to come [at us]. It’s very special. I don’t take it for granted. I’m enjoying every minute here. It feels like home. It’s always special scoring here.”

However, speaking to Sky Sports, Salah sounded less confident about his future, with the forward announcing last week that Liverpool had yet to hand him a new contract despite his current deal expiring next summer.

The winger said: “Honestly it’s in my head [his contract situation]. Until now this is the last City game I will play for Liverpool so I was just going to enjoy it. The atmosphere was incredible so I will enjoy every second here. Hopefully we just win the league and will see what will happen.”

Salah again showed why Liverpool need to give him anything he wants

Salah’s form this season has been nothing short of exceptional, with the winger easily the best player in the Premier League and arguably in the entire world having hit double digits for goals and assists already in all competitions.

And against City, Salah once again showed why Liverpool need to be doing all they can to keep the 32-year-old around for as long as possible, with the winger showing no sign of slowing down just yet for the Reds.

Indeed, Salah is in the form of his life and is Liverpool’s talisman in their bid for the Premier League and UEFA Champions League, and the Reds will be making a huge mistake in allowing the forward to leave next summer for nothing.
