Liverpool secured a statement 2-0 win against Manchester City at Anfield as Arne Slot continued his dream run as manager.

Goals from Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah got the job done for the Reds at Anfield, who have now lost just once under their new manager.

An entertaining game of football at Anfield saw Liverpool go nine points clear at the top of the table – and 11 clear of Manchester City – as they aim to win the title in Slot’s first season at the club.

There were several talking points from the game – particularly in the first half – but Liverpool fans were keen to spot an outrageous piece of skill from Ryan Gravenberch before the interval.

Ryan Gravenberch has been one of Liverpool’s best players this season and once again ran the show in the centre of the park against the reigning champions.

Starting in midfield alongside Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister, the Dutch midfielder was virtually unplayable, particularly in the first half.

He also produced one of the standout moments of the game as his sharp turn helped him evade the Manchester City press to start a counter for his side.

Liverpool fans took to social media to lavish praise on his outrageous bit of skill as he continues to grow in stature. One fan even claimed it wasn’t shown live on TV as they wrote: “Can’t believe this wasn’t shown live.”

@BigAndButtered wrote: “Skill so good it almost took Foden’s knee,” while @lfcolaaa said: “Gravenbech turn is so so good.”

@gotmergim hilariously wrote: “I just don’t believe Gravenberch’s dad loves him more than I do,” while @_kayode_ added: “I’m not kidding when I say Ryan Gravenberch is the best DM in football.”
