Mohamed Salah has given Liverpool fans plenty to fear after sharing a worrying update about his contract.
Salah is disappointed with his contract situation at this moment in time, with the winger’s current deal rapidly expiring.
Like his Anfield teammates Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold, Salah will see his Liverpool contract expire next summer.
Jamie Carragher recently said Liverpool were most worried about Alexander-Arnold not signing a new deal, but perhaps the pundit will now change his tune.
Salah moved into double figures for Premier League goals this season right before his contract comments, having netted a brace in the 3-2 win versus Southampton.

Jason Cundy and Jamie O’Hara clash over Mohamed Salah
Given his relatively quiet demeanour over the years, particularly in terms of contract updates, the comments came as a surprise to many.
Pundit Jamie O’Hara has, however, welcomed Salah’s decision, having been asked on talkSPORT by Jason Cundy: “What do you think of him going public the way he has, going a bit rogue?”
O’Hara replied: “Well that says to me that he wants to stay, because otherwise you just stay quiet and not say anything,” with Cundy questioning: “What do you think of the way he’s gone about it though? Did he need to come out and say what he said?”

O’Hara responded: “We want honesty from football players, and people want to know what he’s really thinking because there might be Liverpool fans thinking that he’s running his contract down because he wants to go to Saudi Arabia, get a big massive bumper payday and off he goes into the sunset. But I don’t actually, genuinely think that’s the case, because he’s coming out saying I’ve not been offered a contract.”
Cundy then asked: “But a few people feel that he maybe should have kept his mouth shut, because of what this is going to do. It’s now put the spotlight back on the club. Is that okay for him to put a little bit of division between him and the club?”
O’Hara replied: “I don’t think it’s division,” with Cundy interjecting: “I don’t know mate,” as O’Hara continued: “I think it’s a player who has the right to come out and say, I’ve got six months left on my contract and I’ve not heard anything, I keep getting asked questions, everyone’s talking about it. He knows it’s a big talking point.”
Jamie O’Hara tells Liverpool what to do with Mohamed Salah
Liverpool have certainly left it very late over potential new deals for Salah, Van Dijk and Alexander-Arnold.
Slot will definitely not be happy with the situation, which is likely very much out of his hands, with all three key players for the Dutchman.

It remains to be seen who, if anyone, the Anfield bosses prioritise in the coming weeks and months, with Liverpool fans desperate for all three to extend their stays on Merseyside.
Continuing their discussion on star man Salah, Cundy added: “He knows exactly what he’s doing though, right? He knows that this is going to be talked about, he knows it’s going to be on the back pages, he knows the spotlight is going to be put back on the club.”
O’Hara replied: “Well put pressure on the club, they’re a huge football club, and they should be sorting the contract out. He’s obviously saying offer me a contract that I’ll want to sign and I’ll stay, everyone wants him to stay.”
