It’s been a productive international break for several Liverpool players – particularly for their defenders – as they prepare to finish their national team commitments before returning for the festive run-in.

Virgil van Dijk was released from the Netherlands squad prematurely as Ronald Koeman signaled his desire to give him a rest, which is good news for the Anfield faithful.

Andy Robertson scored for Scotland and Ibrahima Konate captained France as the pair showed their class for their countries.

And now, Conor Bradley has become the latest Liverpool defender to impress for his country as Northern Ireland played out an entertaining 2-2 draw against Luxembourg.

Bradley earned a standing ovation for his performance against Belarus last week and was chosen to start once again.

And the Liverpool defender did his reputation no harm, scoring a fantastic second-half header to help his side to a 2-2 draw.

Bradley captained Northern Ireland in the previous international break and capped off another brilliant outing with the national team as he was named Man of the Match.

Belfast Live didn’t go into detail about his performance or give him a rating, as they wrote: “Scored a crucial goal and unlucky not to grab a second.”

The Belfast Telegraph, on the other hand, waxed lyrical about his performance, although they too admitted that he should have probably scored another goal.

Giving the Liverpool defender a 9/10 rating, they wrote: “Another industrious night in a Northern Ireland jersey and the Liverpool ace tended to get the better of counterpart Florian Bohnert.

“Terrific header at the far post to double the lead and could have added a third goal.”

Bradley’s stats vs Luxembourg

To put it bluntly, simply outstanding! Well played, Conor!
