Liverpool have been one of the best teams in Europe this season, with the Reds dropping points in only their second game of the entire campaign on Sunday against Arsenal.
A late Mohamed Salah equaliser ensured that the points were shared at the Emirates Stadium as an uninspired Liverpool side managed to claim something from Arsenal in what was a real test for Arne Slot’s side.

With Gary Neville criticising Virgil van Dijk, it was hardly the best performance from Liverpool, who now sit second in the Premier League with Manchester City managing to get the job done on the weekend against Southampton.
And Roy Keane has now shared who he thinks is more likely to contend for the title between Liverpool and Arsenal.

Liverpool backed to challenge for Premier League title over Arsenal
Speaking on Sky Sports after Liverpool’s draw with Arsenal, the Manchester United legend backs the Anfield side to be the most viable challenger for this season’s Premier League title alongside City.
With Arsenal suffering from a number of injuries and seeing three red cards after nine Premier League games, the Gunners are somewhat losing their edge when it comes to being a season-long contender for the title
And for Keane, that means Liverpool could have the advantage over Arsenal when it comes to taking on City for the title, with the pundit saying who out of the two teams could compete with Pep Guardiola’s side: “I want to say Liverpool.
“I gave Liverpool loads of praise last year and they ran out of steam with five or six games to go, so there’s lots of challenges ahead for them. But maybe the calmness of the players will help them in the long-run. But I’ve been wrong before. I would say at this moment Liverpool over Arsenal.”

Liverpool know they can go all the way in the title race
Liverpool have started the season in fantastic form under Slot, with the Dutch coach proving to be the dream successor to Jurgen Klopp and a perfect manager for the Merseyside giants.
And after nine games this season, Liverpool fans are fully convinced that they can go all the way in the Premier League title race, with the Reds showing the kind of form that makes league champions.

Indeed, Liverpool’s upcoming games will be big tests for the Anfield side, yet coming away from them with big results will only add more fuel to the fire that the Reds are ready for the challenge this season.
