Liverpool fought back twice to secure a valuable point at the Emirates Stadium as they played out a 2-2 draw against Arsenal.

The Gunners went ahead through Bukayo Saka first and then Mikel Merino before half-time, but Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah got their names on the scoresheet to ensure a share of the spoils.

The game had plenty of talking points, but Liverpool fans singled out one player for criticism as he struggled to impose himself on the game.

Roy Keane felt Andy Robertson wasn’t at his best against Chelsea, although he got better as the game went on and helped his side to three points at Anfield.

In what was another testing spell for the Scot against a top team, Saka ran him ragged and sat him down in the opening exchanges of the game to give Arsenal a 1-0 lead.

As the game went on, Saka continued to get the better of him as he endured one of the toughest nights of his season at the Emirates.

One fan wrote, “I love Robertson too much to say anything bad against him cos of what he’s done for us, but he’s having a shocker,” while another one said, “It really is time to let Robertson go.”

There was still more criticism of Robertson after Arsenal’s opening goal as one fan wrote, “That is absolutely embarrassing from Robertson,” while another added, “Robertson might be washed.”

Robertson was a key player under Jurgen Klopp after joining the club for £10m in 2017, but Liverpool fans feel his powers have waned in recent seasons as they called for Arne Slot to move past him.

One fan wrote “Been saying this 3 seasons ago. No one listened,” as he suggested that the Scot’s time at Anfield is up, while another one claimed he has been good enough since the 2020-21 season.

And finally, one fan seemed to suggest Liverpool target Rayan Ait-Nouri as Robertson’s replacement after what was deemed one of his ‘worst-ever’ performances for the club.

Robertson’s stats vs Arsenal

Robertson failed to deal with Ben White’s ball over the top for Saka’s goal and fell to the floor as the Englishman cut inside to smash the ball into the back of the net.

He was the worst-rated player on the pitch with a Sofascore rating of 6.4 and his underlying numbers are as follows:
