Liverpool made it two wins from two in the UEFA Champions League with a 2-0 win against Serie A side Bologna.
Alexis Mac Allister scored his first European goal as Mohamed Salah wrapped up the three points with an outstanding goal from distance, with Bologna giving Liverpool a good game in what was a fine showing from the Italian club.
The result takes Liverpool joint top of the Champions League league phase with goal difference placing the Reds at fourth in the standings, with Arne Slot’s side currently sat Borussia Dortmund, Brest and Bayer Leverkusen.
Here’s how Liverpool’s players were rated in tonight’s win at Anfield.

Defence
Alisson Becker: 9 – Man of the Match – Liverpool’s defence endured a difficult evening at Anfield, leaving Alisson Becker to clean up the mess and put on one of his best performances of the season against an electric Bologna attack.
Trent Alexander-Arnold: 5 – One of Trent Alexander-Arnold’s sloppiest games in a long time, the England international was caught out of possession numerous times by Bologna’s relentless wingers, with the defender failing to do much in the final third.
Ibrahima Konate: 6 – After Ibrahima Konate’s heroics against Wolves for Liverpool on Saturday, the French defender was again solid at the back for the Reds, with the former RB Leipzig man doing well to keep Bologna’s attack at bay as much as possible.
Virgil van Dijk: 5 – Endured a poor first-half with Bologna exploiting Virgil van Dijk to get off a number of chances, yet the Dutch defender grew into the game the more it went on, with the centre-back able to claim a clean sheet alongside Konate.
Andy Robertson: 6 – Another quiet night for the Scottish international with Andy Robertson doing a solid job at the back unlike his fullback partner, with Riccardo Orsolini struggling against the Liverpool star despite a few promising moments.

Midfield
Dominik Szoboszlai: 7 – Once again playing as the most advanced midfielder, Dominik Szoboszlai enjoyed a lot of freedom against Bologna with the Hungarian international linking the midfield with the attack expertly, though the 23-year-old will be frustrated with not claiming a goal contribution.
Ryan Gravenberch: 8 – Hailed by Liverpool fans as ‘ridiculous’, Ryan Gravenberch continued his incredible rise under Slot with a midfield masterclass against Bologna, with the Dutch international again showing why he has been one of the players of the season for the Reds.
Alexis Mac Allister: 7 – Another hugely positive performance for Alexis Mac Allister as the Argentine international scored his first Champions League goal ever after nodding in Mohamed Salah’s excellent cross early on in the opening half.

Attack
Mohamed Salah: 8 – Assisted Mac Allister’s opener with a sensational clipped pass to break the Bologna defence before grabbing a goal of his own with a sensational effort from distance to secure the three points for Liverpool.
Darwin Nunez: 5 – It was another frustrating night for Darwin Nunez, with the £64m striker trying too much to find the back of the net to no avail as the Uruguay international saw shot after shot fly wide of the mark in what was a disappointing performance for the attacker.
Luis Diaz: 6 – Luis Diaz has been one of the success stories of the season at Liverpool, yet the Colombia international was mostly quiet down the left-wing against Bologna, with the winger a few inches away from meeting Salah’s cross into the box before Mac Allister bundled the ball in to make it 1-0.
Substitutes
Diogo Jota: 6 – Gave Liverpool a good edge in the attack in the final 30 minutes of the match with Diogo Jota causing Bologna a lot of problems.
Kostas Tsimikas: 6 – Took his opportunity well as Kostas Tsimikas once again proved why he is a dream backup option for Robertson, with he Greek international keeping things tidy at the back.
Cody Gakpo: N/A
Curtis Jones: N/A
Conor Bradley: N/A
