Mohamed Salah is regarded by many as one of the best wingers to ever play in the Premier League, with the Liverpool attacker nothing short of sensational.

The Egyptian winger has cracked into the top-five of Liverpool’s all-time leading goalscorers with Salah now in the Premier League’s top-ten all-time leading goalscorers, with the 32-year-old expected to add to his current tally by the end of this season.

Despite Salah’s incredible numbers over the years with Liverpool, one debate that has raged on behind the scenes is who is better between the former AS Roma forward or former Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard.

Yet Hazard himself has now seemingly ended the debate once and for all.

Hazard settles debate by naming Salah as the better player

Speaking to Sports Bible, the former PFA Player of the Year named Salah as the better player when asked who is better between himself or the Liverpool superstar, who is only a year younger than Hazard.

Although Hazard was arguably the more entertaining player to watch, the numbers do not lie when it comes to comparing the former Chelsea and Real Madrid star and Salah, who is streets ahead of his Belgian counterpart.

Indeed, there is a real chance that Salah could break into the Premier League’s top-five leading goalscorers of all-time this season, with the attacker in fine form already this campaign under new manager Arne Slot.

And as fun as Hazard was to watch on his day and when fully fit, comparing the former Chelsea man with Salah is something that couldn’t be up for debate anymore, with the Liverpool star clearly the better player of the two.

Salah could go down as the greatest Premier League winger of all-time

Salah’s career at Liverpool has been nothing short of incredible, with the winger breaking numerous records during his time at Anfield and leading the Reds to their first Premier League title in 2020 as well as the UEFA Champions League in 2019.

And when Salah calls time on his Premier League career, there’s a real chance that the Egyptian will go down as the greatest winger the league has ever seen given the sheer volume of goals and assists the Liverpool man registered during his time on Merseyside.

Indeed, Salah might not have been as flashy as Hazard, but what the forward lacked in skill and showmanship the former Chelsea man made up for in goal contributions, something his counterpart seems to have recognised this week.
