Ibrahima Konate and Cody Gakpo impressed as Liverpool were forced to come from behind to clinch the win.
The big centre-back started the comeback after Christian Pulisic’s early opener, with his fellow defender Virgil van Dijk then putting the Reds ahead.
Dominik Szoboszlai then put the icing on the cake with his club’s third goal of the evening, which was assisted by the brilliant Gakpo.
It was another fine team performance from Liverpool, with Arne Slot needing his players to step up after their loss to Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.

He wrote on Instagram: “First step in the Champions League with the Reds and it couldn’t have been better!” with Van Dijk commenting with a fire emoji and fellow midfielder Ryan Gravenberch adding three muscle emojis.
Alexis Mac Allister continues to shine under Arne Slot at Liverpool
Mac Allister returned to Anfield in the summer as a Copa America winner with Argentina, with the midfielder crucial to his country’s success.
He has now had a similar impact under Slot, with the manager heavily relying on the midfielder in the early stages of the new season.
Slot is trying to protect Mac Allister, such has been the amount of football he has played lately, but he proved again just how important he is against AC Milan.

The Argentine’s attacking and defensive abilities were on show at the San Siro, with the midfielder certainly not overawed by the occasion.
