Liverpool were certainly well represented in the major international tournaments earlier this summer.
Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joe Gomez helped England reach the Euro 2024 final, although the latter was limited to a place on the bench for the entire tournament.
Liverpool had a total of 10 players at Euro 2024, with four Anfield stars taking part in the latest edition of Copa America.
Alexis Mac Allister was singled out by Arne Slot in pre-season, having returned to Merseyside as a Copa America champion with Argentina.
The tournaments meant Slot had to welcome back his players at different stages this summer, although the boss has still managed to enjoy a successful start to life in the Anfield dugout.

Joe Gomez snubbed by England interim manager Lee Carsley
Annoyingly for the Dutchman, however, another international break is approaching, with many nations having announced their latest squads.
With Gareth Southgate leaving his England role after Euro 2024, interim boss Lee Carsley has named his first Three Lions squad.

And there are plenty of new faces in the setup for the Nations League meetings with the Republic of Ireland and Finland next month.
But there is no place in the 26-man squad for Gomez, who has been dropped by Carsley after making the cut under Southgate.
His Liverpool teammate Alexander-Arnold has been included for the matches at the Aviva Stadium and Wembley in early September.
Liverpool exit is the best option for Joe Gomez
Carsley’s Liverpool selections perhaps come as very little surprise, with Alexander-Arnold certainly warranting a place.
The right-back has enjoyed a strong start to the new season under Slot, but the same cannot be said of his fellow defender Gomez.

Alexander-Arnold said Gomez was ‘exceptional’ last season under Jurgen Klopp, with the player having filled in well in central defence and indeed left-back.
The versatile defender featured 51 times in all competitions, with his impressive displays earning him an England call-up from Southgate.
This time around, however, the 27-year-old is yet to feature under Slot, and has been linked with an Anfield exit this summer.
And that is undoubtedly the road he needs to go down in order to save his international future, with Liverpool open to selling Gomez.
