Mohamed Salah is one of Liverpool’s greatest-ever goalscorers, with the Egyptian winger sat fifth in the Reds’ all-time leading charts.
This weekend saw the 32-year-old add to his incredible tally with Salah bagging his 212nd goal in all competitions for Liverpool, with the former AS Roma man just 16 off Billy Liddell in fourth-sport.
With Salah hitting 30+ goals in all competitions in all but one season for Liverpool, there’s every chance that the attacker could his tenure with the Anfield side behind only Ian Rush and Roger Hunt in the all-time goalscoring charts.
Yet Tony Cascarino thinks Liverpool now have a better finisher than Salah in the squad.

Diogo Jota named Liverpool’s best finisher over Salah
Speaking on TalkSport, the pundit named Diogo Jota as the best finisher in Liverpool’s squad, with the Portuguese finding the back of the net in this weekend’s Premier League opener against Ipswich Town, alongside Salah.
With Micah Richards impressed with Jota’s performances over pre-season, it’s no real surprise that the attacker got off to a great start in the new campaign, and for Cascarino, the forward should be regarded as Liverpool’s best finisher.

The pundit said when asked who is the better finisher between Jota and Salah for Liverpool after Saturday’s win: “I think Jota is the most clinical striker at Liverpool, His work-rate is sensational, Diogo Jota, brilliant.
“He is a tenacious striker and he causes lots of problems. Jota is the best finisher at Liverpool by a country mile as a centre-forward. Mo Salah gets a lot of chances, but I don’t think even his finishing is as good as Jota’s.”

Salah will always be Liverpool’s main goalscorer this season
Jota’s goalscoring record is one of the best in the Liverpool squad, with the attacker proving to be a consistent marksman in front of goal whenever fit and available for the Reds.
Yet this season, Salah will and always will be Liverpool’s main goalscorer, with the attacker potentially set for another 30+ goal year in all competitions if the winger can stay fit and adjust himself to Arne Slot’s new tactics.
The forward is one of the best finishers in world football, and whilst Jota might be more lethal, Salah can do things his Liverpool teammate can only dream about doing in the attacking-third.
