A Liverpool player did not feature in training earlier today in the United States after picking up an injury on Friday against Real Betis.
The Reds are in full pre-season mode in America as Arne Slot’s side got off to a 1-0 win in Pittsburgh against the La Liga side to kick off their tour of the United States, with the youngsters stealing the show on the night.
With Liverpool missing some big names, the general mood around pre-season has been a positive one, with Slot hopeful of getting his team whipped into shape ahead of what will be a massive Premier League season for the Anfield side.
Yet Liverpool could be without one player for quite some time.

Curtis Jones missing from Liverpool training this morning
As per the Daily Mail’s Lewis Steele, Curtis Jones was not present in Liverpool’s pre-season training session this morning, with the journalist writing: “No sign of Curtis Jones at Liverpool training.”
Jones was taken off just 30 minutes into Liverpool’s pre-season tie against Betis due to injury, with the midfielder’s absence from training today raising questions on how long the England international could now be out for.
Indeed, Jones has been one of Liverpool’s most underrated and consistent players in the last few seasons, with the 23-year-old ready to make the next step in his career under Slot in the new Premier League campaign.
However, Jones being injured could have a major impact on the youngster’s pre-season preparations, especially if the Kikby academy graduate misses the rest of the US tour after picking up a knock against Betis.

Slot will hope he can survive pre-season with no major injuries
Injuries are the one thing every manager wants to avoid every pre-season, and with Jones already potentially out, Slot will hope he can survive the next few weeks with Liverpool without anything major.
The Reds suffered from numerous injuries last season, something that played a massive role in Liverpool dropping out as early as they did in the Premier League title race.
And this summer, the Anfield side will want to avoid any more players going down with fitness issues, with the development surrounding Jones one that could cause some issues.
