Things are all really positive at Liverpool right now. The Reds are in good form and are recording impressive results. But what’s even more impressive is the amount of youngsters coming through and putting in impressive performances.
With so many key absentees and first team players out due to injury, other teams may have struggled in this period. But not Liverpool. The Reds have a really good group of youngsters to throw in at the deep-end, who have all stood up to the challenges which have faced them.
Alexis Mac Allister has been one of the few players who hasn’t had to pull out due to injury. He has experienced the youngsters’ impact first hand. Now he’s been speaking about them and how impressed he has been of their progress. Especially, two players in particular, who have impressed him in training.

Speaking to TNT Sports, Alexis Mac Allister was asked about Liverpool’s young players and the Argentine midfielder was full of praise for Bobby Clark and James McConnell. Mac Allister revealed both have really impressed him in training recently.
“It’s the first time I have experienced something like that,” Mac Allister said.
“But listen we know their quality. They are very good players, they just need to get that confidence because they have the personality and confidence to do very well and they showed it. We are very happy for them because they train very well and work very hard. It’s nice they have had the possibility to play and they have done very well.”
Both Clark and McConnell have been exceptional since they came into the side. The two of them more than hold their own at Wembley in the Carabao Cup final, and then put in solid performances against Southampton as well.
Before, Clark was brilliant against Nottingham Forest on his first ever start in the Premier League. Now he could be about to make his European debut for the club as well.
They’re both definitely ones to watch, and it’s good to hear that they are also impressing their teammates in training as well.
