For Liverpool it was a night to remember in Prague. A comfortable victory was perhaps only tainted by one tiny unfortunate mishap from Conor Bradley.

In the second-half Sparta Prague really went forward and attacked Liverpool. The home side tried to apply as much pressure as possible to the Reds. Much of it the Liverpool defence and Caoimhin Kelleher in goal endured.

But in the end, it was an unfortunate moment from Bradley which prevented Liverpool from keeping a fourth consecutive clean-sheet. When Sparta Prague put the ball into the penalty area, Bradley elected to clear it having been put under pressure by another Sparta Prague defender behind him. However, he slightly misjudged his clearance and ended-up thumping the ball into the back of the net.

Ibrahima Konate rushed to Conor Bradley’s aid

Rousing the Kop was live in attendance in Prague tonight and saw Bradley’s reaction unfold in the aftermath. It was a strong reaction from the 20-year-old. He picked his head-up straight away and didn’t seem to let the moment take over.

What must have helped was the fact that Ibrahima Konate rushed straight over to help Bradley. Konate embraced his teammate and tapped his hand in support while the Sparta Prague players were celebrating the goal.

That was a really nice and touching moment from one of Liverpool’s more senior players. The 24-year-old defender may not be young in age, but it’s clear from his mindset and mentality that he is mature beyond his years.

Among the many reasons why that is another factor why Liverpool will hope Konate’s injury he appeared to sustain in the game is not too serious.
