Virgil van Dijk is reportedly attracting interest from Saudi Arabia, with Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah also wanted by the Middle Eastern state.
The Liverpool captain is recently coming off one of his finest games yet for the Reds after keeping a clean sheet and scoring the winner in the League Cup final against Chelsea with a depleted squad.
Lauded by Michael Owen as ‘incredible’, Van Dijk’s legend at Liverpool has only grown this season since taking the armband, yet interest from Saudi Arabia could soon cause some problems.
Virgil van Dijk targeted by Saudi Arabia alongside Liverpool star Mohamed Salah

According to ESPN, top Saudi Pro League sides are setting out their agendas for the upcoming summer transfer market, with Van Dijk and Salah on the list, alongside Alisson Becker.
With the likes of Kevin De Bruyne and Bruno Fernandes also wanted by Saudi Arabian clubs, another huge surge of spending from the Middle East could be about to unfold later this year.
Yet for Liverpool, the Reds must be doing all they can to stop Van Dijk from jumping on the bandwagon and heading out east, especially with Salah expected to already be leaving at the end of this season.
Indeed, Van Dijk himself might oppose a move to Saudi Arabia given how brilliant the defender is, yet Liverpool will want to be sure that the Dutch international wants to stay at Anfield.
Liverpool can’t afford to lose yet another key man this summer

With Jurgen Klopp already announcing his decision to leave Liverpool with Salah expected to follow suit, the Reds will undergo their biggest change in some years this summer.
And with Saudi Arabian clubs now interested in Van Dijk, Liverpool can’t allow a third key figure in the Dutchman to leave Anfield at the end of the season.
The club captain has been incredible this campaign and is coming off one of his best games yet for Liverpool, and Van Dijk departing might be too much to handle for most fans.
