Liverpool are back in action once again this evening, hosting Southampton in the FA Cup.

We are just a few days removed from Liverpool’s Carabao Cup final success, beating Chelsea 1-0 at Wembley Stadium.

The celebrations were wild and emotional but it’s back down to business tonight as Liverpool face Southampton.

Jurgen Klopp remains without a host of first-team players tonight and has unsurprisingly named a youthful side to face the Saints.

Caoimhin Kelleher continues in goal tonight with Alisson still out injured.

Jarell Quansah partners Virgil van Dijk at centre back tonight with Joe Gomez and Kostas Tsimikas as the wing backs.

Conor Bradley seemingly features in midfield tonight, joining Bobby Clark and James McConnell in the engine room.

Harvey Elliott and teenager Lewis Koumas feature on the flanks, supporting Cody Gakpo in attack.

There are some experienced names on the bench with Adrian, Ibrahima Konate, Luis Diaz and Alexis Mac Allister named as substitutes.

Calum Scanlon, Kaide Gordon, Amara Nallo, Jayden Danns and Trey Nyoni all make the bench tonight with the youngsters no doubt looking to seize a chance to shine if they come off the bench.

Liverpool starting XI: Kelleher; Gomez, Quansah, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Bradley, Clark, McConnell; Elliott, Gakpo, Koumas

Liverpool substitutes: Adrian, Konate, Diaz, Mac Allister, Scanlon, Gordon, Nallo, Danns, Nyoni.
