Andy Robertson transfer latest

According to the latest report from the Daily Mail, Andy Robertson has emerged as a candidate to replace Alphonso Davies at Bayern Munich. The Scotsman, who was described as ‘world class’ [CaughtOffside] by former Liverpool player Stan Collymore last year, has only two years remaining on his current contract with the club.

He will be turning 30-years-old in a few years time, which makes it difficult for us to see him being given a long-term contract extension. Robertson is undoubtedly a top player, and someone who has been one of the club’s greatest ever signings. However, Liverpool have to think pragmatically, and the reality is that this summer, if Bayern are keen, is the last chance for Liverpool to sell him for a big profit.

Bayern is a club the Reds have conducted plenty of business with in the recent past. Liverpool agreed a deal to sign Thiago Alcantara almost four years ago with the German giants. The Reds also sold Sadio Mane to Bayern back in 2022.
