There are just so many positives at Liverpool right now. Even taking into account the news about Jurgen Klopp – nothing can stop us from not getting carried away about this team. They’ve been simply brilliant all season.

And it’s such a young team as well – full of players yet to fulfil their complete potential. That is why even after Klopp leaves the club – the Reds should have a bright future ahead of them. A future that Klopp’s current young stars are going to play a key role in.

Among them will be Curtis Jones. Over the last year or so, he’s really starting to emerge as a candidate for the starting XI. He’s scoring goals, and getting assists and game by game, he just keeps elevating his game to the next level. It’s really exciting to watch right now.

Chris Sutton on Curtis Jones

Speaking on the BBC last night, Chris Sutton shared similar sentiments about Curtis Jones following his performance against Chelsea. The BBC pundit highlighted how despite all the money Liverpool have spent, it’s Jones that has been catching the eye recently and that he keeps improving with every game.

“Good effort from Curtis Jones, talk about the money Liverpool have spent in the midfield but Jones is just getting better and better,” Sutton said.

We have to agree, Jones is playing better and better every game. He’s always been a big talent. But what he has struggled with is finding a consistent rhythm. During the last few years, he has been perpetually stunted by little niggles and injuries. But now that seems to be behind him, and the 23-year-old is clearly taking his game to another level.
