Liverpool is taking on Bournemouth this afternoon in what promises to be a tough game for Jurgen Klopp’s side. Especially, since Klopp will be without several key players including Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

The former will be a huge loss considering he has scored nine goals in his previous 10 games against Bournemouth, and has lost against them just once.

But Salah is not the only Liverpool player with a really impressive goal-scoring record against this afternoon’s opponents. Klopp has another attacker who has been really prolific against Bournemouth. So impressive he has averaged a goal every 58 minutes against them.

Luis Diaz is the key for Liverpool

Since arriving at Anfield, Luis Diaz has only played against Bournemouth twice. But he’s won both games in impressive fashion.

In his first game against Bournemouth, Diaz netted twice in a 9-0 victory. Meanwhile, in the second (earlier this season at Anfield) he scored another goal in a 3-1 victory. That means overall he has averaged a goal every 58 minutes against Bournemouth and has a 12-1 aggregate against this afternoon’s opponents.

In the last few games, the 27-year-old has really started to play his best football again, and with his record against Bournemouth – he could be about to explode for Liverpool in this fixture once again.

So while Klopp doesn’t have Salah, Diaz may just do the trick. One thing is for certain, Liverpool will do everything to get three points and stay on top of the Premier League table. And they have enough firepower to do that, even without Salah.
