The best way to measure someone’s football intelligence is to ask them about their opinion of Thiago Alcantara. The Liverpool midfielders is simply one of a kind, and if you love football, you love watching him.
Those who do not understand what he offers to the team, or don’t rate him – simply don’t know enough about the sport.
Thiago’s ability to play in between the lines, to control the tempo of the game, and his technical quality is head and shoulders above anyone else in world football. That’s why Liverpool broke so many of their set rules in the club’s transfer policy to bring him to Anfield.
And that is why he is appreciated by so many professional players. Including one who was brought to the Premier League for £38m this summer as per Sky Sports.

Mohammed Kudus’ love for Thiago
Speaking to The Athletic, Jeremy Seethal, the scout who also coached Mohammed Kudus at Right to Dream, has revealed his former protege had a huge appreciation for Thiago.
“We started calling Kudus ‘Thiago’ because he was a big fan of Thiago,” Seethal said.
“Then we started calling him ‘Thiago Alcantara’ in full. That drove Kudus even more and he’s always had that inner drive about him. He was an unassuming quiet kid who was extremely dedicated to his craft.”
These comments are especially interesting because Kudus was on Liverpool’s radar last summer. He’s been brilliant since he came to the Premier League as well.
And he could be an ideal future candidate to succeed Mohamed Salah on the right-wing at Liverpool. In the process, he might follow suit of a player he once looked up to as a kid.
