Jurgen Klopp’s time is not even close to coming to an end at Liverpool. The German has just launched his new 2.0 project and the club will want to keep him at the helm for as long as possible.

However, there will be a day when the Liverpool boss will move onto pastures new. After all, nothing can last forever. Even if with Jurgen Klopp, nobody at Liverpool would complain if he remained as manager of the club for an eternity.

Replacing Klopp will be a gargantuan task for FSG. The German was almost tailor made for Liverpool and there are few coaches of his ilk in world football at the moment.

Although, one might just have what it takes, according to a BBC journalist.

Xabi Alonso – Jurgen Klopp’s heir?

The BBC released a special focusing on Alonso’s brilliant time at Bayer Leverkusen and, in that special journalist, Constantin Eckner was full of praise for the former Liverpool man.

“I think that Xabi Alonso will join that group of top class coaches. The group of Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp, Thomas Tuchel and Carlo Ancelotti. I think he will be part of that group,” Eckner said.

The German football journalist who writes for the BBC then revealed he believes that 42-year-old Alonso could one day end-up at Liverpool and succeed Jurgen Klopp.

“I think his path will lead to one of his former clubs, Liverpool, Real Madrid and or of course, Bayern Munich.”

As stated above, Klopp will be impossible for Liverpool to replace. However, if anyone could be up to the task, it’s definitely Alonso with his pedigree and exciting managerial style.
