Former Liverpool goalkeeper Sander Westerveld has said Mohamed Salah could become even better if his teammates were on the same winger’s wavelength.
The Egyptian international has been arguably Liverpool’s most important player this season, with Salah leading the charge for the Reds in the Premier League title race.
Whilst rumours of a move to Saudi Arabia persist, it is clear that Salah’s role at Liverpool has never been more important, with the Anfield side current top of the Premier League standings.

And speaking to the Mirror, Westerveld claimed that Salah could become even better for the Reds if his teammates had a similar attacking and creative eye than the former AS Roma attacker.
Westerveld said: “I have full confidence in Mo. If some of his teammates had an eye for Mo like he has for them, his stats would be even better. He can honestly produce bigger things.
“There are moments in the game where you don’t see him or his contributions are not the greatest, but with one pass or one goal he can decide matches for Liverpool. And this is exactly why Klopp rarely takes him off.”
Mohamed Salah would be unstoppable if Liverpool teammates were better

Salah is without question a Liverpool legend and one of the best players to ever play for the club since joining for £34m in 2017 from Roma.
However, there’s no denying that Salah’s legacy at Liverpool could have somehow been greater if the quality of players around the winger were greater during his entire time at the club.
Of course, Salah’s previous teammates at Anfield have consisted of further Liverpool legends and players who are now on the path to stardom in football.
Yet had more been done to keep the level of quality consistent, there’s no telling how far Salah could have gone at Liverpool with better players around him.
