Jamie Carragher was impressed with what he saw from Luis Diaz in Liverpool’s 2-0 win against Arsenal in the FA Cup.

The Colombian international wrapped up the win for the Reds with a sensational finish at the Emirates Stadium, with Liverpool booking their place in the next round of the competition.

The 26-year-old attacker has impressed in recent weeks, with Diaz grabbing an assist on Boxing Day in Liverpool’s 2-0 win against Burnley.

And taking to Twitter, Carragher was full of praise for Diaz, with the former Liverpool defender lauding the winger and claiming that the forward is now back to his best.

Indeed, it has been an intense season for Diaz after what happened earlier in the campaign away from the pitch after the Colombian’s father was kidnapped.

However, with it now being some weeks since Diaz’s father was rescued safely, the Liverpool winger is now focused on his football, with results starting to show.

Diaz can be forgiven for his form this season given everything that has happened to the attacker away from the pitch.

Yet the forward showed tonight against Arsenal that the 26-year-old is back to his best, with Diaz the star of the show for Liverpool in north London.

Whilst more goals are needed, it’s clear that Diaz is playing with a smile on his face and confidence in his feet, something Liverpool fans have been missing in recent weeks.

And tonight showed that Diaz is back, with Arsenal suffering a big defeat as Liverpool look to march on with their latest quadruple dream.
