Sky Sports presenter Dave Jones gave an update on the injury sustained to Liverpool left-back Kostas Tsimikas tonight.
Tsimikas had to be taken off midway through the first-half of tonight’s 1-1 draw with Arsenal.
Having been pushed over by Bukayo Saka on the touchline, the Greek collided with manager Jurgen Klopp, sending him flying to the ground.
Speaking to Sky Sports live in the studio following the game, Saka apologised to Tsimikas, and wishes him well.
“I’m sure he’ll appreciate that,” replied Jones. “And I’m being told he has a broken collar bone.”
Ouch. Get well soon, Tsimi. The last thing we needed tonight.
Tsimikas taken to hospital
Following Jones’ update, Jurgen Klopp spoke to Sky shortly after to confirm Tsimikas’ injury.
“A massive shadow on the night with Kostas Tsimikas,” said the Liverpool manager. “The collar-bone is definitely broken. He’s out for a long time.
“It’s hard to swallow for us with the Robbo situation.”
With Andy Robertson also out with a dislocated shoulder, Liverpool are suddenly looking incredibly light at left-back.

Joe Gomez came on and did a decent job, and the 26-year-old will now be expected to deputise again. It isn’t ideal for Liverpool.
They do have Luke Chambers and Calum Scanlon in reserve, but neither youngster look completely ready to step in.
Given the good form that Tsimikas was in, it comes as an even bigger blow for Liverpool. Following an initial tough period following Robertson’s injury, the 27-year-old had really stepped up of late.
But that’s the way things go in football. Liverpool will wait for him, but it’s a cruel, cruel blow for the time being. Get well soon, Kostas.
