Danny Murphy has now given his prediction for Liverpool’s Premier League clash this weekend against Arsenal.
The fixture at Anfield is the blockbuster for this round of matches, with Liverpool potentially having the chance to go top of the league if they can best Mikel Arteta’s side.
Whilst the Gunners are top, Anfield has historically been one of Arsenal’s worst-performing venues, with Liverpool’s famed atmosphere often getting to the north London side.

And speaking on TalkSport, Murphy has joined the likes of Chris Sutton in predicting a Liverpool win, with three points needed if the Reds are to make any gains in the Premier League title race.
Murphy said when asked about Saturday’s fixture: “Where Liverpool are at, overall, is a good place against Arsenal. Generally, against Arsenal at Anfield, we do well.
“I think the best Arsenal can get is a draw, even last season at 2-0 up Liverpool pinned them back. It’s hard to win there, I expect Liverpool to beat them. It would be a bigger surprise Arsenal going there and winning than it would be Liverpool beating them”
Liverpool have to believe they can beat Arsenal on Saturday

As mentioned, Liverpool’s record against Arsenal in the Premier League at Anfield is remarkable, with the Reds going well over a decade without a lost against the Gunners.
Whilst there is a chance that the north London side could get something on Saturday, Liverpool need to really believe that they can get the win against Arsenal.
As we know, a win could take Liverpool top of the Premier League heading into Boxing Day, and belief around the club with supporters on winning the title will be at an all-time high heading into 2024.
