Jose Mourinho has now given his verdict on his Liverpool can beat the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City to the Premier League title this season.
The Reds lost their top spot this weekend after being held to a 0-0 draw at Anfield as the Gunners and Aston Villa both secured wins on Sunday.
With Liverpool taking on Arsenal later this week, the race for the Premier League title is beginning to heat up heading into 2024, with City still yet to hit their full stride.

And speaking on The Obi One Podcast, Mourinho still tipped Pep Guardiola’s side to just beat Liverpool to the Premier League title having won it the last three seasons.
Indeed, City are yet to showcase their best football this campaign, and given how strongly the Manchester side ended last season, a late surge seems almost guaranteed in 2024.
Mourinho said when asked who he thinks will win the Premier League this season: “I would say Man City 51 [percent], and Liverpool 49 [percent].”
Liverpool can beat Manchester City to the Premier League title

Liverpool are no strangers to challenging City to the title, with the Reds the only club in the last five years to actually best Guardiola’s unstoppable winning machine in the Premier League.
And this season could see the Anfield do it once again, with Liverpool looking like strong contenders for the league if they can strengthen in the January transfer window.
Whilst the fitness of the likes of Alisson Becker, Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk is key, there’s a lot in Liverpool’s squad that can help the Reds get over the finish line.
And 2024 could be the year Liverpool bring the Premier League back to Merseyside, with the odds looking good for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
