Jamie Carragher has urged Dominik Szoboszlai to improve after the Liverpool midfielder’s performance against Manchester United.
The 23-year-old Hungarian international started for the Reds at Anfield as Jurgen Klopp picked three new signings in the midfield, with Szoboszlai joining Wataru Endo and Ryan Gravenberch.
However, it was a performance to forget for the former RB Leipzig man, with Szoboszlai coming off on the hour mark having done little to test United’s stubborn defence tonight.

And speaking on Sky Sports’ coverage of the match, Carragher was critical of how Szoboszlai has performed in recent weeks, with the pundit pleading the Liverpool man to improve.
Indeed, Szoboszlai had a great start to life with the Reds this season, though this form has fizzled out in a big way in recent weeks, with the midfielder now attracting criticism.
Carragher said: “Szoboszlai has been a standout this season, but it just hasn’t quite happened for him, not just today but in a lot of games, he’s certainly got to improve, and if he does, it will be important for Liverpool.”
Dominik Szoboszlai needs to listen to Jamie Carragher’s Liverpool advice

Szoboszlai’s current form has perhaps gone under the radar given how electric the midfielder was for Liverpool at the start of the season.
Yet there’s no denying that the Hungarian midfielder is currently on a bad stretch with the Reds, and Szoboszlai needs to take onboard Carragher’s advice.
The 23-year-old is clearly a talented player who can go far with the right system and teammates, with Liverpool a dream club for Szoboszlai.
Yet it will all mean nothing if the midfielder can’t improve from his current position, with Szoboszlai in danger of being potentially dropped by Jurgen Klopp.
